1995, Secretary General of Asia South Pacific Bureau for Adult Education (ASPBAE) - present

Vice-President of the Asia-South Pacific Region of International Commission of Agricultural Engineering  (ICAE)- present

 

Membership- Professional Organizations:

        Member of the Collective Consultation of NGOs on Education for All (EFA).

UNESCO's key mechanism for dialogue reflection, and partnerships with NGOs in the framework of the EFA movement.

Major Contribution to Adult Education:

 

  1. Activist in the field of adult education, she believes that adult education contributes in fighting poverty and has significant impact on most of the marginalized groups all over the world .
  2. Nominated for International and  Continuing Education Hall of Fame in 2008.
  3. She has participated in the United Nations World Summit on Social Development in addition to various international conferences on adult education all over the world. 
  4. She is one among the first people who demanded the states to bear the most  responsibilities in adult and continuing  education.  
  5. She has worked on enhancing education and social development programs in developing and especially the poorest countries.
  6.  She has worked on various aspects of adult education especially adult literacy of girls' and women's education.
  7. Active in the field of adult education in 30 countries in Asia- Pacific.
  8. She strongly believes in the role of civil society organizations in supporting adult education.
  9. She believes and works for gender justice, and also peace and equity .
  10.  As a Secretary General of ASPBAE , she is working towards achieving one of the most ambitious objectives of the Asia Pacific meeting on Education 2030 through " reviewing the current national education planning processes and discussing the capacity development needs for integration of Education 2030 in national education sector plans" .
  11. She has participated in several  international presentations and conferences about adult education such as ( CONFINTEA, EFA , ICAE, and  MDG).
  12. She has called for the provision of free and  high-quality education for all.
  13.  She has contributed in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Report in 2008 and criticized the report because it  marginalized  two important goals of adult education :  lifelong learning needs of youth and adults, adult literacy, and the needed tools to fight  poverty.
  14. She is a strong supporter of securing education budgets because it has a severe influence on education quality.
  15. She believes that all citizens should have the right to " meaningful and transformative education and learning opportunities throughout their lives" 

 

 

Presentations:

ODA in Indian Economy.

"Lessons Learned: Making Summits Work" (UNICEF) describes strategies for implementing goals, including identification of the do-able, political commitment, mobilization of a much wider range of social resources, and deployment of the expertise and resources of the United Nations (UN).

ASPBAE: The Promotion of Adult and Continuing Education

 ASPBAE's Basic Leadership Development Course (BLDC) was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from 17-22 November 2015.
